Animals are items that the player has to release in animal levels.

All animals often hide under frosting. To release them, the player needs to clear frosting over them. If a tile of single frosting looks pink, there is part of an animal beneath.
- Note that some animals have part of them exposed without frosting. The player only needs to clear frosting on the remaining part.
An animal comes in rectangle shapes. It may have the following sizes: 1x1, 2x1, 2x2, 3x2, 3x3 and 4x2. Each animal released is worth 2,000 points for each tile it occupies. (For example, if the animal occupies a 4x2 area of the board, the player earns 16,000 points when it is released.) However, the point value doesn't appear on the screen.
When an animal is released, all candies on the tiles it occupy will be removed.
